Marina View, Gisborne

 

Harbour's work comprised of repairing an extensively damaged building due to the December 2007 earthquake in Gisborne. The work involved the reinstatement of various building elements including cladding repair, reinstatement and replacement, significant internal re-decoration, demolition, repair and reinstatement works, primary structural steel column hold-down retrofitting works, formation of seismic gap between structures incoporating specifically designed flashing details and passive fire protection measures.

On-going works relate to significant steel strengthening of the level 2 floor diaphragm and improvement works to the waterproofing details to external decks and claddings.

These works have been undertaken with the building restaurant, conference centre and residential suites operational throughout the construction works period.
